  • Independent: editorial decisions must not be influenced by personal, commercial interests, or external pressures.
  • Conflict of interest: authors are obliged to disclose relevant conflicts of interest (e.g., professional relationships, affiliations, or financial interests).
  • Transparency: promotions, sponsorships, or collaborations must be clearly marked and not disguised as editorial content.

2) Accuracy, Verification, and Correction

  • Accurate: factual claims must be verifiable with appropriate references.
  • Balanced: for sensitive or debated issues, the editors strive for proportional presentation.
  • Corrections: if errors occur, corrections/clarifications are made as quickly as possible with appropriate notes.

3) Academic Honesty & Anti-Plagiarism

  • Plagiarism is prohibited: copying material from other parties without proper attribution (including translations) is not permitted.
  • Attribution: quotations, data, and ideas that do not belong to the author must be clearly sourced.
  • Anti-fabrication: it is forbidden to create non-existent or unverifiable references/quotations/data.

4) Privacy protection & vulnerable groups

  • Personal data: avoid publishing sensitive personal data without a clear public interest reason and extra caution.
  • Victims/children: the identities of victims and children must be protected; mentions of identity can be disguised or not displayed.
  • Non-discrimination: it is forbidden to include hate speech, discrimination, or bullying based on ethnicity, religion, race, gender, orientation, disability, or social status.

5) Ethics of reporting legal cases and issues

  • Presumption of innocence: avoid judgmental language in cases that do not yet have permanent legal force.
  • Caution: content that may affect the legal/judicial process is handled with stricter review.
  • Context: when writing about legal issues, include the context of norms/procedures and authoritative references where possible.

6) Visual, data, and source ethics

  • Images/illustrations: non-misleading and does not infringe copyright. Use licensed/permitted material or your own work.
  • Data: numbers/graphs must have sources; if an estimate, it must be described as an estimate.
  • Anonymous sources: used sparingly; editors consider the reasons for anonymity and additional verification.

7) Use of AI tools

The use of AI is permitted as an assistive tool (e.g., tidying up structure or language) provided that:

  • The author remains fully responsible for the substance, facts, and references.
  • It is forbidden to include fictitious quotations/references generated by AI.
  • Sensitive content must undergo human verification.

8) Enforcement
