Criminal Procedure Code
This law regulates: 1) Strengthening the rights of Suspects, Defendants, Convicts, Witnesses, Victims, and Persons with Disabilities; 2) Improving the authority of Investigators, Investigating Officers, and Public Prosecutors, as well as strengthening coordination between Investigators and Public Prosecutors; 3) Changes to the regulations regarding Coercive Measures; 4) Addition of Guilty Plea (Plea Bargain) and Deferred Prosecution Agreement; 5) strengthening the pre-trial mechanism; 6) regulations regarding restorative justice mechanisms; 7) Compensation, Rehabilitation, Restitution, and Compensation; 8) strengthening the role of advocates; 9) crown witnesses; and 10) re-regulation of legal remedies.
