JAKARTA, Legal Literacy - The Intelligence Task Force for Reform and Innovation (SIRI) of the Attorney General's Office has secured Hariyono (69), a fugitive in a corruption case who was on the Wanted List of the Jombang District Attorney's Office. Hariyono was secured at Sofie Residence Housing Complex, Purwasari District, on Friday, January 23, 2026.

The Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, stated that Hariyono has the status of a convict based on the Supreme Court's decision. The arrest was made after the person concerned had long failed to comply with the summons for the execution of the court's decision.

“The SIRI Task Force has succeeded in securing the convict Hariyono, S.Pd., who is on the Wanted List from the Jombang District Attorney's Office regarding a corruption case,” said Anang Supriatna.

Supreme Court Decision Number 1971 K/Pid.Sus/2012

Hariyono's convict status refers to the Supreme Court Decision Number 1971 K/Pid.Sus/2012. In the decision, Hariyono was declared legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption in the management of grant funds sourced from the Jombang Regency APBD.

The act resulted in state financial losses of Rp 277,115,000. The Supreme Court imposed the following penalties:

  • Imprisonment: Four years.

  • Fine: Rp200,000,000.

  • Subsidiary: Imprisonment for four months if the fine is not paid.

The convict's identity is recorded as being born in Jombang, male, Indonesian citizen, and a retired civil servant. The last recorded address is at Jalan Griya Indah Blok 5 Number 5, Jombang Regency, East Java.

Convict Handover Process

Anang Supriatna explained that during the securing process, the convict was cooperative, so the activity ran safely and smoothly. The convict was then taken to be handed over to the Jombang District Attorney's Office Execution Prosecutor to undergo the court decision execution process.

“The person concerned was cooperative so that the securing process went well and was then handed over to the Execution Prosecutor of the Jombang District Attorney's Office,” said Anang.

Anang emphasized that the Attorney General has instructed all ranks to continue to monitor and immediately arrest fugitives for legal certainty. The Attorney General also appealed to all fugitives on the Wanted List to surrender themselves. According to him, there is no safe place for fugitives to hide from the legal process.
