TPN Ganjar Mahfud Hopes the Constitutional Court is Fair and Can Uphold Democracy

His party hopes that the Constitutional Court can judge the lawsuit fairly and continue to uphold democracy. "The Constitutional Court will be tested, whether it will survive as a Constitutional Court or become an extension of power," said Todung.

With the registration of the PHPU Presidential Election case by Ganjar-Mahfud, there are now two PHPU presidential election lawsuits that have been submitted to the Constitutional Court. Previously, on Thursday (21/3/2024), presidential and vice-presidential candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, had also filed a similar lawsuit.

However, there is a difference in approach between the Ganjar-Mahfud and Anies-Muhaimin lawsuits. While Ganjar-Mahfud asked the Constitutional Court to disqualify the Prabowo-Gibran pair, Anies-Muhaimin asked for Gibran to be disqualified individually. Both pairs also requested that a re-vote (PSU) be held.
